Camden Snow Removal Schedule 2026

The City of Camden Department of Public Works follows a three-tier system.

Emergency Routes First
Major roads like Federal Street, Haddon Avenue, Broadway, and all bus routes are cleared immediately.

Secondary Streets
Collector roads and school zones come next.

Residential Neighborhoods
Side streets and dead ends are plowed last, usually within 48 to 72 hours after the storm ends.

Crews worked around the clock after the February 22-23 blizzard and most main roads are now passable. If your block still has deep snow, it is because the city prioritizes life saving routes first.

Snow Emergency Parking Rules

During any declared snow emergency, like the one that ended Monday afternoon, parking is banned on both sides of designated emergency snow routes. Vehicles left on these roads can be ticketed or towed.

The full list of emergency routes is posted on the city’s website.

Senior Snow Removal Program Update

Camden County’s free Senior Snow Removal Program, for residents 65 or older or those with disabilities, was temporarily suspended during the peak of the storm because of overwhelming demand and jammed 911 lines. The program is now back open.

To request help call 856-783-4808 ext. 5035 after snow has stopped. Crews shovel sidewalks and ramps only. Driveways and cars are not included.

How to Report a Problem or Request Help

City of Camden Public Works non emergency: 856-757-7300

Snow removal complaints or stuck vehicles: Use the same number or email dpw@cityofcamden.net

For life threatening emergencies always call 911 first.

Quick Tips from a Camden Resident

Move your car to the even side of the street if possible. This helps plows get through faster.

Clear a path from your front door to the sidewalk before the city arrives.

Check our main snow storm totals article for your neighborhood’s exact snowfall amount.

The city says crews will continue working through the weekend until every residential street is cleared. If you are still snowed in, hang tight. Help is on the way.

Stay safe out there, Camden. Spring is right around the corner.
